The Danger of a Single Story
Chimamanda Adichie delivered this speech in 2009 to a large crowd at the Ted Global 2009 Conference in Oxford. The audience were people gather from all around the world to hear Chimamanda Adichie story of a single life. The speakers were professional people.
"I must say that before I went to U.S. I didn't consciously indentify as African." This quote makes me thinks about how I judge people by their cover but don't really know much about them expect about what I hear. Also meaning that you don't accept people as they are. You just observed the outside of them thinking "what made you come here" and don't know anything about the inside.
" She asked if she could listen to what she called my “tribal music,” and was consequently very disappointed when I produced my tape of Mariah Carey."
I understand it because she was born and raise in part of africa that spoke english and also listen to music that was worldwide and made in the U.S. It reminds that everybody is different but learning, listen, and doing the same thing you are doing. People are alike but this different in their own way, unique. Ms. Adichie surprise and calmed me because you can't judge nobody by what you see, hear and read.
"That when we reject the single story, when we realize that there is never a single story about any place,we regain a kind of paradise"

Obbsession
The issued is the guy is addict to nike shoes. the boy have a nike signs carve in his cheeks. The boy is addictive to nike shoes, obbessed over them as well. The message of this is that he addict to shoes instead of drugs. His drugs are nike shoes, obbsession. People who really dont care for shoes would disagree and think he a fool and the nike shoes company would totally agree to this. I dont think its pesusaive.
Too much television
The issued that is inspired in this image is too much television. Us children are watching too much television instead of getting active. a specific technique is that the television is in the girl eye. i'll infer that the tv commericals are catching kids and their are addictive to whatever is on tv. I agree but at the same time i disagree because some tv shows are educational and some is not. the author point of view is too much tv is being watch. Yes, its most likely persusaive.
Children at war
The event or issued that is shown in this picture is children are fighting. Two young children fighting with guns on a sea-saw.its inappropriate for young children to handle guns. Children shouldn't be at war, they should be trying to get along with one another. Parents, adults, and wise teens would disagree to non-sense, but on the other hand irresponsible parents, non-caring adults and teens would agree for children to fight because they think that's how you going to survive in life. This cartoon is probably persusavie to young children thinking it's cool.
The Tales of The Two Indians
There is an economic desparity in india because it's growing rapidly and money is decreasing $2 a day. A caste system is a system of social classes. it might affect the economic because more than third of indians are illierate, and india's education system is stymied by corruption and incompetence. Similarities are that they the world's largest democracy and the differences are india is now seen by many as the other rising global power. China economy grows more quickly. For a country to be emerging

'I Have a Dream'
Martin Luther King Jr.
'I Have a Dream' speech was delivered on August 25 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, in Washington. Dr. Martin L. King's dream was "FREEDOM". Dr.Martin L. Kings dream has came true. Til this day, there isn't much rascism of the races like how it use to be back in the time when he was alive. The way I know is because i could be friends or make friends with anyone, without being criticize. The things that i see today, everyone's friends with everybody despite of racism. My family and I are living "The Dream" motto.
Growing Up Digital
Young people spend so much time on electronics, because it revovles around their life. They really dont do nothing else but talk, texts, chat, and surf the web. I spend at least 5-6 hours a day texting, talking, surfing the web, on facebook, etc. Yes, i think it will interfere with my life because when i text i dont text proper,i text alot of slang.
When electrionics become a problem, the warning signs are: no sleep, dont want to clean up nomore, and yelling at your family when they try to take it. It will affect our focus by, when you're in the class and your phone vibrating, you just stop learning to check your messages. The instant gratification can be both good and bad because you can download something educational and also something thats not important. You can learn how to type, resreach the web, etc from using the interent and computers.
